Deer Creek-Mackinaw is a school that may be small in size, but big on a long history of football success.
In 2024, the Chiefs punched their ticket to November for the 30th time in program history after overcoming adversity and picking up late-season victories to get to 5-4.
“I felt that was a really big thing; a couple of years ago I remember seeing that number was 28 and then we made it 29, and a lot of people were like ‘Dude, how cool is that going to be that you guys as a program over the course of time have been in the playoffs 30 times?,’” head coach Cody Myers said.
