After a four-win season, Farmington girls basketball doesn’t have many places to go but up. The hopeful start to that trend for the Farmers is moving the former junior varsity coach Donovan Benson into the varsity head coaching spot.
This is Benson's seventh year coaching in the Farmington district, spending three years with junior high boys, two years at the high school level with freshman boys, before moving to the JV girls side of things prior to taking over varsity girls this year.
Benson is gifted with Carl Sandburg College commit Abbie Ackers. as Benson hopes the senior can help lead this team to more success. He also hopes to use his previous coaching experience in his new position.
