Winning is part of the Tremont softball culture. One would have to go back eight years just to find a season where they finished less than five games over .500.
The Turks, unfortunately, had to say goodbye to an uber-talented senior class that contained stars like Maia Lorengo and Olivia Avalos. Naturally, softball fans around the area are curious if Tremont can return to their winning ways after taking such a hit.
However, nobody is more confident in the Turks than head coach Katy Warren. She believes her squad can use their competitive spirit, high-octane offense, and defensive flexibility to stay atop the Heart of Illinois Conference this spring.
