Nick Mueller knew what he had to do on Saturday at the State Farm Center in Champaign.
The Dunlap senior wrestler had done enough to put himself back in the same match he ended his season in last year: a Class 2A state title match. Mueller avenged his defeat from 2023 and became Dunlap’s first-ever wrestling state champion, lifting a big weight off his shoulders.
