After breaking a 5-year playoff drought a season ago, Bloomington football has jumped out to a 4-0 start and is getting statewide recognition.
The Purple Raiders were ranked as the 10th best team in Illinois class 6A by the Associated Press a week ago, and they’re the first team out of the top 10 this week, receiving 11 votes.
The first thing that’s going right for this squad is its team-first mentality.
“We just all came together and worked together as a team,” lineman Justin Robinson said after a 48-16 win at Normal West in week four. “We [didn’t] let the hype get to us.”
