Week 7 of the high school football season in Central Illinois didn’t feature many nail-biter games.

Aside from close wins by Farmington, Elmwood/Brimfield and El Paso-Gridley, many of the best teams in the area kept on rolling with wins that brought them closer to a conference title or officially securing a ticket to the playoffs, which are right around the corner.

This week’s CSM Power Rankings feature an overtake of the small school top spot and key wins by Princeville and Bloomington shaking things up. The talent in the area doesn’t even stop at the top five small and large school teams as a sizable contingent receiving consideration have also been impressive too.

Two key games that will have major effects on the power rankings this week are Bloomington at Peoria High, which you can watch live as our WMBD Game of the Week on ciproud.com, and Tri-Valley at Eureka, which you can listen to live as our Small Town Throwdown game on clutchsportsil.com.

The rankings are split up between small schools and large schools with teams from the Mid-Illini and Big 12 making up the large schools while every other area school falls into the small school rankings. Other teams receiving consideration are listed as well.
