The dust has settled on an exhilarating first week of IHSA football and as teams prepare for their Week 2 opponents, 10 of the most impressive teams make up our first CSM Football Power Rankings of the season.
The rankings are split up between small schools and large schools with teams from the Mid-Illini and Big 12 making up the large schools while every other area school falls into the small school rankings. Other teams receiving consideration are listed as well.
The AP statewide poll for IHSA football is still awaiting its first release of the season. CSM will also post those rankings each week once they begin.
