CSM Baseball Power Rankings: April 28, 2025: Morton, Dunlap ascend, two new teams creep into top five

The penultimate week of April provided a big helping of marquee matchups on the diamond with all of them having an effect on the Clutch Sports Media Baseball Power Rankings.

Big 12 rivals Normal Community and Normal West, plus Richwoods and Peoria Notre Dame all faced off with two of those teams earning spots in the area’s top five large school squads. Dunlap and East Peoria split a series and remain neck-and-neck with each other. 

Elsewhere, Eureka’s and Farmington’s long win streaks were snapped but both teams remained among the best in Central Illinois’ small schools. Two teams were new entries after being on the outside looking in a week ago.
