Peoria has no shortage of great boys basketball teams this season but two of the biggest risers in the Clutch Sports Media Boys Basketball Power Rankings hail from Bloomington/Normal.
Normal Community’s win over Moline and Bloomington Central Catholic’s victory over Riverton – both on Saturday – allowed the Ironmen and Saints to reach their highest rankings of the season. East Peoria’s overtime win over Morton that same night had an effect on the large school rankings as well.
The upcoming week brings plenty of intrigue, not just because of several key conference games, but also because playoff seedings will be released on Thursday with official brackets coming the following day.

Teams from the Mid-Illini and Big 12 make up the large school rankings while every other area school falls into the small school category. Teams receiving consideration are listed as well.
