With just 10 days left in the IHSA girls basketball regular season, many teams are making their last push before postseason brackets are announced on Friday.
Area powerhouses like Washington, Morton and Dee-Mack furthered their cases for a top seed with multiple wins while Normal Community and Canton experienced a resurgence. However, they’re far from the only teams with playoff potential as 20 teams were strongly considered for official spots in the latest CSM Girls Basketball Power Rankings.
As teams being to close out their regular seasons, impactful games this week include Washington and Dunlap facing off on Tuesday, Richwoods taking on both Manual and Bloomington and Illini Bluffs and Brimfield facing off for the Inter-County title on Thursday.
Teams from the Mid-Illini and Big 12 make up the large school rankings while every other area school falls into the small school category. Teams receiving consideration are listed as well.
