Few video games can transcend time and conjure up nostalgia better than EA Sports’ NCAA Football franchise. Last week, fans of the game were treated to the release of College Football 25 after a long, and at times agonizing, 11-year wait since the last such game was released.
The return of the game after the extended hiatus due to legal issues regarding players’ likenesses brought back all of the features that allow gamers to get lost in for hours, such as Dynasty and Road to Glory modes. New features such as the transfer portal, added recruiting details, and over 80 different player traits that can influence situations during a game were added as well.
Shortly after its release, the massive community of College Football 25 players were able to take the intrigue of the game further with its Team Builder feature. There, users have already created detailed versions of lower-level schools that aren’t included in the game, such as Illinois State, or schools that don’t sponsor football teams like Bradley.
Perhaps one of the biggest differences from the game’s last iteration is the addition of real players’ names and (oft-generic-appearing) likenesses. Those that play College Football 25 can see over a dozen players from Central Illinois included in it.
Below is a list of college football players from the area who are included in the game, as well as their ratings, and players who were not included in the game due to roster size limits.
