IHSA to move baseball, softball state series to one-weekend format

A wave of scheduling changes to IHSA State Finals events has made an effect on two more sports. 

After its Board of Directors meeting on Jan. 15, the IHSA announced that it would be switching the baseball and softball State Finals from a two-weekend format to a one-weekend format. The new format will begin in 2026.
