PEORIA — In the fall of 2021, Dietrich Richardson, a skinny freshman standing just under six feet, walked into Manual High School.
Three years later, he’s taller, stronger, faster and set to be a Bradley Brave.
Saturday night, Richardson, a four-star prospect according to 247 Sports, committed to Bradley in front of his friends, family, teammates and coaches at Manual. The 6-foot-7 combo guard is the highest-ranked recruit to commit to Bradley in head coach Brian Wardle’s tenure.
“This is home,” Richardson said. “I get the chance to play in front of my friends and families and that feeling is priceless. The guys that stay here and go college here are legends. When they come back, they are treated like legends.”
