STANFORD, IL – Olympia boys basketball has faced their fair share of trials in the 2024 campaign.
Simply put, the Spartans play in the Sangamo Conference, which has been one of the best small-school conferences in the state. Two of the Sangamo’s best teams in the top three in the most recent Class 2A AP statewide rankings. Plenty more squads are dangerous, which means the Spartans are one of the most tested teams in Central Illinois.
“It’s a dogfight every single night,” head coach Justin Slager said. “We just got to continue to find a way to match the other team’s energy and effort every night out on the floor.”
