PEORIA — The IHSA softball state finals has called the Peoria area home for nearly five decades and will now do so for at least three more years.

The IHSA Board of Directors announced on Wednesday that the Louisville Slugger Sports Complex’s hosting contract for the state finals would be extended through 2028 after its meeting on April 14.

The complex, located on the northwest side of Peoria, has hosted the IHSA State Finals in softball since 2021.
