WASHINGTON, IL – Washington volleyball head coach Paloma Simundic has the Panthers off to an exceptional start.

The Panthers are 11-3 to start the year, and 3-1 in a highly-competitive Mid-Illini Conference that has only two teams below .500 with wins over Metamora, Pekin and East Peoria. In her first year at Washington, Simundic is looking to establish a tight-knit culture among the team.

“[We’re establishing] a strong team atmosphere–that it’s not just one player that makes the difference, but it needs to be everybody at different times that contributes to the team,” Simundic said.
