It had been a long time since Normal Community lost a Big 12 baseball game and LeRoy lost a Heart of Illinois Conference softball game. But those streaks came to an end on Wednesday as Normal West baseball and Dee-Mack softball picked up huge wins.

Richwoods baseball stayed flaming hot against Peoria Notre Dame, a rivalry which was renewed on the soccer pitch on Wednesday as well. Morton’s Matt Sander and Dunlap’s Davis Weeks each led their squads to Mid-Illini victories while Metamora, Tremont and Canton were among notable squads victorious in softball.

Track and field, lacrosse and tennis also saw action with several area athletes and teams picking up victories.
