Rivalry matchups in baseball set the tone for Friday’s high school sports slate in Central Illinois with Normal Community and Peoria Christian winning games over crosstown foes.
Morton and Bloomington baseball, plus Morton, Tri-Valley, Delavan and Normal U-High softball, all won games that were decided in the sixth inning or later. Pekin’s Zoe Kormah set a Pekin girls soccer program record and PND earned a big road win.
Over a dozen track and field meets featured a heap of strong performers, especially from Dunlap and Eureka.
