The Roundup, April 7, 2025: Till becomes Metamora's new home run leader, Big 12 baseball teams put on hitting clinics

Kaidance Till has put together a decorated career at Metamora and now she is the school’s all-time home run leader after her big game against Lincoln. In baseball, Washington’s Carter Prina and Morton’s Ryan Schaffnit had terrific individual and team performances as both starters threw complete game shutouts in their squad’s Mid-Illini openers.
The Big 12 Conference is always loaded with top-end talent and Monday was no different for the baseball teams. Between 10 teams and nine games, the conference’s teams scored 165 total runs in one day.
Various Class 2A softball teams from around the area grabbed wins while three girls soccer teams and Washington girls lacrosse won as well.
