The Roundup, April 8 2025: Mid-Illini softball, track opens, NCHS baseball earns sweep, Dunlap and Morton win in girls soccer

A jam-packed Tuesday featured many conference foes squaring off in softball, baseball, girls soccer, track and field and tennis.
Washington softball beat rival Metamora in walk-off fashion and while Illini Bluffs and Tri-Valley were two of many other softball winners. Normal Community and Eureka highlighted the day’s slate of baseball.
Four Mid-Illini girls soccer teams won in shutouts and a clash between Normal West and Richwoods stood out in the Big 12 slate. Over two dozen area track and field teams were in action while Morton and Dunlap were among several victorious teams in boys tennis.
