Saturday’s high school sports action in Central Illinois had a bunch of close matchups, blowouts, and even a third overtime period on the first day of postseason girls basketball.
After two players reached 1,000 points on Friday, two more boys basketball stars joined the thousand-point club, along with a few shootouts featuring Richwoods, Bloomington, and El Paso-Gridley.
Wrestling has a bunch of competitors from the area moving on to state, including six from Washington and five from Canton, and several sectional champions.
