Saturday’s prep sports slate was one of the largest of the winter season as the Heart of Illinois and Inter-County conference tournaments were in action, many other schools took on non-conference foes, and many wrestling tournaments were held.
Among the day’s biggest highlights was Peoria Christian winning the ICAC Tournament in convincing fashion, East Peoria and Peoria Notre Dame boys picking up big victories, Washington and Pekin winning in girls hoops, and Richwoods, Normal Community and Canton showing out on the wrestling mats.
