The Roundup, March 3, 2025: Washington dancing like its 1977, PND clinches second straight state berth

Central Illinois girls basketball has had its torch carried by two teams all season long and both of them showed why on Monday night, as Washington and Peoria Notre Dame clinched state berths. 

The Panthers defeated Sterling in another close battle, this time going to overtime, while PND handled a one-loss Stillman Valley squad thanks to a highly-potent duo. Both teams will play their state semifinals on Thursday at CEFCU Arena in Normal.
