The Roundup, Oct. 18, 2024: Peoria High wins state-ranked battle, Morton and Dee-Mack keep playoff hopes alive

Week 8 of high school football had plenty of action with a win by Class 5A No. 4 Peoria High over 6A No. 10 Bloomington leading the way. Morton and Dee-Mack picked up hugely important wins while El Paso-Gridley, Olympia and Bloomington Central Catholic became playoff-eligible. 


Eureka and Princeville fell from the ranks of the unbeaten leaving Farmington as the only team with a perfect record.


Other highlights include IHSA State Golf tournaments, volleyball and sectional tennis
