Normal U-High volleyball took another step in a stellar season with a win over Metamora while Brimfield polished off an unbeaten season in the Inter-County Conference. Delavan, Richwoods and Princeville all took three sets to win.

In volleyball
Normal U-High 2, Metamora 0: Normal U-High (31-3, 9-0 Central State Eight) picked up win No. 31 of the season at home with a 25-14, 25-18 victory over Metamora (17-13, 8-4 Mid-Illini). Addi Pacha led Metamora with seven kills while Ella Miller posted 11 assists and an ace.
Dunlap 2, Galesburg 0: Dunlap (21-10, 9-3 Mid-Illini) squeaked past Galesburg in the first set 25-22 before dominating 25-9 in the second set for another win to stay red-hot. The Eagles host Morton in a crucial Mid-Illini tilt on Tuesday.
Delavan 2, Olympia 1: Delavan (7-19, 1-5 Inter-County) won a thriller of a match at Olympia (6-22, 0-9 Sangamo) as each team traded 25-17 victories in the first two sets before Delavan took a wild, back-and-forth third set 32-30. The Panthers close out ICAC play against Elmwood on Wednesday while Olympia heads to Tolono Unity on Thursday.
Richwoods 2, IVC 1: Richwoods (13-11, 4-4 Big 12) came back from dropping the first set to IVC (16-15, 5-2 Illini Prairie) 21-25 with identical 25-19, 25-19 wins in the final two sets. The Knights host Manual next on Tuesday while IVC travels to Monticello on Thursday.
Brimfield 2, North Fulton 0: Brimfield (22-4, 7-0 Inter-County) secured the ICAC title with a 27-25, 25-22 win over North Fulton in the Indians’ second to last regular season game. Brimfield hosts Annawan on Tuesday.
Princeville 2, Stark County 1: Princeville (10-19, 5-5 Lincoln Trail) overcame a 23-25 loss in the first set to win 25-23, 25-13 and take down rival Stark County. The Princes close out LTC play on Wednesday against Monmouth United.
Athens 2, Illini Bluffs 1: Illini Bluffs (21-8, 6-1 Inter-County) forced a third set but fell to Athens 23-25, 25-20, 19-25 for the Tigers’ third loss in four matches. IB will aim to get back on track on Wednesday against Lewistown.
Midwest Central 2, Elmwood 1: Elmwood (7-24, 0-6 Inter-County) had a glimmer of hope of breaking a seven-match skid after winning the first set 25-20, but fell 16-25, 18-25 in the following two sets on the road. The Trojans face Farmington next on Tuesday.
