An abbreviated Wednesday slate of games in Central Illinois featured Dunlap soccer advancing to the Class 2A Geneseo Regional championship and a pair of small-school volleyball teams hitting the court.

In boys soccer
Dunlap 7, Geneseo 0: No. 1 seed Dunlap (18-1-2, 7-0 Mid-Illini) blew past 8-seed Sterling in the Class 2A Geneseo Regional semifinals behind two goals apiece from Theo Balea and Jackson Orris. Sam Ott, Drew Chovanec and Rohan Isaac also added goals for the Eagles, who will take on Geneseo in the regional title game on Saturday.
In volleyball
Illini Bluffs 2, Lewistown 0: Illini Bluffs (22-8, 6-1 Inter-County) ended a mini two-game losing skid with a 25-23, 25-17 win at Lewistown. The Tigers close out their regular season on Thursday at home against Knoxville.
Monmouth United 2, Princeville 0: Princeville dropped to 10-20 overall and 5-6 in the Lincoln Trail with a 25-14, 25-16 defeat to Monmouth United. The Princes still have an opportunity to gain momentum with a win heading into the playoffs when they face Delavan in their regular season finale on Thursday.
