The Roundup, Oct. 30, 2024: Washington, PND set up for sectional title match after semifinal wins

There was elation and there was heartbreak on the soccer pitch on Wednesday as Washington and Peoria Notre Dame both advanced in the Class 2A postseason while Dunlap and Peoria Christian saw their seasons come to an end in excruciating fashion.

A trio of area Class 1A schools won in regional semifinals for a berth in regional championship games on Thursday.
