Week 3 of the high school football season did not disappoint and it was kind to many teams around the area, especially the Pekin Dragons who used the clutch play of Dylan Anderson to help them knock off Dunlap in a big win.

Washington dominated in the Battle on the Blacktop, Peoria High came up clutch late in a state-ranked win and East Peoria moved to 3-0 for the first time in a decade.

In small school action, Eureka wowed with a big conference win, Class 2A No. 2 Bloomington Central Catholic suffered an upset loss in overtime and Princeville, Olympia, Elmwood-Brimfield and Farmington all put up lots of points in victories.

Eureka head coach Jason Bachman and Normal Community head coach Jason Drengwitz each reached significant milestones in their team’s victories as well.

Check out all the scores and top performers from Friday’s games in The Roundup!
