After strong showings at the polls for CSM Spring Athletes of the Week, presented by Dominos, Tremont's Cassidee Bauer and Metamora's Nick Walker took home the latest honors.
Bauer and the Turks continued to play at a high level, helping extend their winning streak while Walker's efforts on the track and in the field led the Redbirds to a win at the Metamora ABC Invite on April 20.

Bauer won CSM Girls Athlete of the Week by earning 54 percent of the vote total in the girls poll. The Tremont catcher has been a big reason why the Turks have won 12 straight games and helped her team to victories over El Paso-Gridley and Fieldcrest during the week of April 15-21. Bauer went 3-for-3 with with three RBIs and a triple against the Titans before tacking on another three-hit, three-RBI day against the Knights where she was a home run short of hitting for the cycle. Defensively, her pitch calling has helped Tremont allow less than two runs per game in its win streak.
