Peoria Notre Dame’s girls basketball team needed a lift on Thursday night against its cross-town rival and Class 3A No. 2 Peoria High.
The Irish went into the halftime locker room tied with the Lions at 16, but close games haven’t been common for them this year. Their loaded talent room has traditionally blown past even the best of their opponents, helping the team achieve the No. 1 spot in the Illinois AP Poll.
