WASHINGTON — The Washington Panthers made a massive statement in its 37-7 Mid-Illini Conference victory over rival Metamora at Babcook Field on Friday night, which earned first-year coach Todd Stevens his first career win.


The Panthers (1-2, 1-0) were powered by running backs Hunter Reed and Carter Quin, who combined for four touchdowns to give their team a much-needed boost going into next Friday’s game at Pekin.
