MORTON – Everyone in Washington’s locker room remembered what they felt the last time they were at the Potterdome.
With the 2023-24 Mid-Illini Conference title on the line and both teams owning identical conference records, the Potters defeated Washington in the final game of the regular season to win the crown.
“I just remember the feeling in the locker room thinking that we all knew we didn't do good enough,” Washington guard Avery Tibbs said. “We all knew that when we got here next year, we wanted to beat them.”
